BBQ festival 1The enchanting world of barbecue is calling out to all BBQ lovers. The occasion is the Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival, to be held in Manhattan, New York on January 28, 2012. This food festival is an embodiment of the city warming up to BBQ, a love favorably stoked by restaurants such as Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Fette Sau, and Hill Country New York.

1) Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival

The Big Apple will be witness to “Most Fun North of the Mason Dixon Line”, which was a sold out affair last year. The festival organizers are claiming that the occasion would be a chance for people to experience the real Southern experience – beer, bourbon, barbeque, bacon, and Bluegrass! Barbeque eating,  beer sipping, and bourbon tasting, you will do all that at the festival.

2) What To Do Bacon bash

There will be sessions where you can enjoy beer, bourbon, and BBQ delicacies. Every BBQ session will have more than 10 food tasting stations, which include:

  • Pulled Pork BBQ
  • BBQ Ribs
  • Brisket
  • Collard greens
  • Baked Beans
  • Charcuterie & Smoked Meats and Sausages

Apart from the above, the guests at the festival can also purchase their BBQ favorites, which are portion-heavy and low-priced.

Fun part3) Bacon Bash

If the BBQ is not enough for you, there is the bacon bash session. There will be tasting stations featuring gourmet bacons. The following Southern dishes will give you a glimpse into what awaits you there:

1)      Beer and Bourbon Southern BBQ Meatballs

2)      123 Burger Shot Beer

3)      Pork BBQ Ribs

4)      Naked Wings

5)      Non-Breaded Wings With Delicious BBQ Sauce

6)      Bacon Brownies

7)      Mini Chocolate Chip Bacon Cookies

Other restaurants featuring at the festival would be Kloby’s, Hill Country, Blacksauce, and Mexicue.

4) Whole Hog Session

The second session on pork will have 3 Pit Masters and guests will be offered three styles of pork. In other words, get ready for the A-Porkalypse!

5) Venue & Tickets

The festival would be held at 608 West 28th Street, NYC 10001. For tickets, visit the festival website.

The beer, bourbon and BBQ festival will help the New Yorkers get a fill of the cue. For another such festival, in another part of the country, here is the Yaga’s Chili Quest and Beer Fest.
