LL Cool JYou've gotta respect the LL Cool J diet. Just look at him and you will know what I'm talking about the 43 year old rapper and actor. LL Cool has the grand-daddy of all killer six pack abs in Hollywood. Ladies Love Cool James – well, that's his nom de vie shortened to LL Cool J,has very simple philosophies when it comes to fitness. "Hit the gym even when you are exhausted." Two: "Don't obsess and count every olive you eat." Let's take a look at his diet and fitness plan.

The LL Cool J Diet:

For nearly more than a decade or probably two, LL has managed to maintain his build (200lbs to 210lbs). He mixes a lot of free weight exercises, plyometrics, boxing workouts, callisthenics and endurance training; and created a unique training regimen for himself. LL works out 3 times a week and each training session is about 45 minutes. His friend and trainer Dave “Scooter” Honig says that LL never ever makes excuses when it comes to the matters of physical training. And without much further ado, here is his workout regimen.

 

Chest Circuit 1:

  • Barbell Bench Press – 12 reps

  • Explosive press-ups – 10 reps

  • Skipping – 1 minute of skipping

  • Rest for 60 seconds, then repeat once before moving on to the next circuit.

Chest Circuit 2:

  • Barbell bench press – 12 reps

  • Cable crossover – 10 reps

  • Hanging running man – 10 reps

  • Treadmill run – 1 minute on an incline, with heart rate in fat burning zone.

  • Rest for 60 seconds, then repeat once before moving on to the next circuit.

Biceps Circuit:

  • Standing barbell curl – 6 reps

  • Preacher curl – 15 reps

  • Mountain climber – 1 minute

  • Rest for 60 seconds, then repeat twice.

 

When it comes to his diet, LL is definitely not counting calories. When he eats, he just eats. But this doesn't mean that he eats every kind of food. He enjoys them responsibly. “If I didn't enjoy some treats in moderation, I wouldn't be a happy camper. You just have to know how to control what you eat and make those smart choices most of the time. I absolutely enjoy desserts and other foods like that, some of the time. I am not saying I sit down with 2 gallons of ice cream each night. I enjoy things in moderation,” LL Cool J said.

 

Final Word on the LL Cool J Diet:

"I have fought tooth and nail for every single thing I have," he says. That is definitely very evident by the way his body looks right now. Hard work all the way will get you sooner than you think. And ummm... good luck with the ladies. ;)
