Leak Proof tomato?! (Saving the sandwich)
A new breed of specially designed tomatoes has been developed at Nunhems in Haelen, Netherlands that promises to make life better for sandwich lovers all over the planet. Why u ask? Well, that is because it is leak proof, which means no runny juices, no messy seeds streaming out as you try to cut it and most definitely no sogginess in your sandwich.

The new breed of non-leak tomatoes that is now on the shelves in Britain and according to a buyer the new leak proof tomato is the ‘the best thing to hit the sandwich world since sliced bread’…!! The tomatoes went on sale on 27 April, Monday, at Tesco’s.
Tesco’s people claim that the new tomato has the same level of juice as standard, but the internal structure of the tomato is dense and fleshy, retaining the moisture, while the usual open structure loses the moisture quickly on cutting.
Apparently 8% of a tomato's weight is lost after slicing and 12% seeps into the bread an hour later, while, their non-leak version loses less than 1% of the moisture, with just 3% seeping into the bread 12 hours later.
The new super-tomato has supposedly ushered in a new era in sandwich making, apparently but why is everybody calling it a ‘super-fruit’… Hello? Isn’t it a veggie… your thoughts on this please!!
