Kareena treads the thin line

After Hollywood, it now seems to be the turn of Bollywood to catch the “thin fever”. Actress Kareena Kapoor is the new star sporting the go thin look nowadays. Kareena has lost over 15 kilograms to get into the international looks league. Guess what she has in mind next?

 

The star has lost loads of weight for her forthcoming attraction “Tashan” opposite beau Saif Ali Khan. There are also rumours doing the rounds that she starved herself a full day for giving a bikini shot for the film and ultimately ended up fainting on the sets. After the heated gossip regarding the two they are now all set to their appearance with the release of “Tashan” slated for the 25th of April,2008.

 

Is being so thin the criteria for being termed “gorgeous” or is Kareena setting a wrong example for the younger generation? How thin is in and where should one draw the line?

Easy way is to cut out much of the fats andthe white stuff ie sugar and wite flour. Eat a lot of healthy veggies, small amounts of meats, more is K skinless chicken and fish. Then just be active-it works! Once you are having the habit of only eating until satisfied and never eating until full you will loose weight and be healthy. I gained weight after a back injury. I did weight watchers and lost the 35# and it has stayed off for almost 2 years with no change to my diet-I eat only until satisfied only. Now maybe I want to loose 10# more :-) If I am more active even just walking it will happen. Hey walk in NYC forget the taxi! Shanti/Mary-Anne

This has become a trend these days. Priyanka Chopra is cutting down for Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion. Yash Raj Films take the lead in this respect. They had Bipasha Basu and Aishwarya Rai lose weight for Dhoom 2. Now its Kareena for Tashan...all in the name of wearing a bikini. All this weight loss 'exercise' makes for very good publicity. Over the last few months, all I've heard about Tashan is that Kareena's on a weight losing spree. It's been like a countdown. Last reported, she weighed 45kgs. Come to think of it, the publicity actually works...even we are talking about it! Seriously speaking, its a worrying thought. I actually know people who've already begun emulating Kareena.

I do agree with shanti and vikas. Loosing weight the healthy way is fine but going beyond a certain point is dangerous. However i guess from the films publisity point of view Yashraj jas been able to create good hype over a bikini scene and has the Kareena-saif fans waiting for the release.
