The ill effect of junk food starts from the time you start thinking about it. Scientists have 3 studies that confirm junk food can impact your behaviour as well. Read the below article to find out what are the junk food effects on our behavioral system. May be now you will stop thinking about junk food!

Junk Food makes you feel hurried
A recent study proved that even a thought of junk food can make one hurried and impatient. The study involved showing concealed images of major fast food suppliers like Mc Donald’s, Subway, Burger king, KFC to a group of people. The sample group of people was made to see the image twice in every twelve millisecond. This rate of viewing image is insufficient for the brain to capture the image and keep it in the memory. This group of participants was found to rush on all tasks even though they were provided with ample time to work on the assignment.

Junk food will force you to dump eco friendly products
In the second study, a group of participants were asked about fast foods and then they were asked to rate products. This group of participants rated products on the basis of the product’s time saving ability than considering other important factors like the quality and eco friendliness properties.

Junk food will not let you save
People who came under the third group of experiment were not keen on long term monetary gains, they were happy with the small interest amount received every month. They were highly impatient to wait till the term ended for a handsome interest gain.

Thinking about fast food is even more risky for children because their brain is still developing. The fast food advertisements are also not good; they make us impatient and force us to opt for time saving commodities. There are many advantages of waiting, a home pie is healthier because it is made with the combined efforts of the family, and it brings everyone together and gives one the pleasure of eating or having something which he has been anticipating for quiet some time. The same doesn’t hold true for a ready to eat apple pie from a popular fast food restaurant.

In the fast food era, where everything fast is considered best, lead to impulsive decision making habit. It detaches us from the society, our health and our environment.
