Almost all the foodies I know are waiting for the release of the movie “Julie and Julia”. It is no surprise that everyone is harping about this movie and there are write ups about it everywhere! After all the plot revolves around the life of one of America’s most celebrated chef of all times, Julia Child.

Most Julia Child fans wouldn’t have to be told how this legend from the culinary world transformed American Cooking and Cuisine through her inititatives taken for the home coking movement and her TV show, the French Chef. During her times, she was one of the few women who attended the Paris' Le Cordon Bleu cooking school. Along with her cooking she was also known for her impressive height and dry humor.

The movie is actually a take on book with the same name by Julie Powell (played by Amy Adams) where she pens down her experiences while recreating all the dishes from Julia Child's (played by Merry Streep) 500+ recipes. Given that it is Merryl Streep who is donning the role of Julia Child there is not a chance I am going to miss this movie. The movie also promises some amazing and tempting shots of food!! It’s a foodie’s dream reel, all right!
