Jell-O Mold Competition!
Food competitions seems to be the flavor of the year. Here is another unique competition for all those Jell-O experts who love making and experimenting with Jell-O. The Jell-O Mold Competition is being held in Brooklyn by the The Gowanus Studio. It seems like it is time to bring back the glory of Jell-O.

The wobbly Jell-O seems to me to be the the perfect medium for design and artistic expression. Guess this is going to be fun. Imagine all those wobbly and colorful displays.
For all those who are interested in participating in the Jell-O-Mold Competition, the final date for submitting your entry is Friday, June 12, 2009. You have to pay $15 as registration fee or $10 if you are a student. Make your own Jell-O molds and remember that your entries will be judged on the basis of the creativity, aesthetics, structural/sculptural ingenuity and edibility/culinary appeal you bring to your Jell-O. Also taken into consideration will be how well you have used and showcased Jell-O.
Jell O lovers like me will definitely not forget to visit The Gowanus Studio Space on June 20, 2009 from 6-10pm to watch the Jell-O display! Mean while try your expertise with Jell-O using this wonderful Ribbon Jell-O recipe.
