Jamie Oliver - The Healthy-Eating Advocate
Yes! Jamie Oliver takes his show to West Coast. The man who taught Britain how to eat right, now wants to help the Los Angeles schools to suit-up and shape-up. The first season of his show, Food Revolution, was shot in Huntington, West Virginia. Apparently, the show made Huntington's residents blush because of the negative media attention, as it was portrayed as America's Fattest City.
The Naked Chef Jamie Oliver plea to Los Angeles Unified School District was to... errr..um.. strip naked. Well, not exactly, but they did decline it saying that even though they appreciate his interest, it is best if he puts his efforts into other deserving communities. I wonder if the actual reason for turning him down could be the negative media attention on the LA schools as it happened to Huntington.
Since LA has rejected his proposal, the show's producers are looking for families with children who need dietary support and help. The prime focus of season two will be on school children and their eating habits. The second season will be shot in early 2011, shortly after Jamie and his family relocate to Los Angeles.
