Sumo: What to do?
Debu:You say..

S:Apple centre, Oxford Street?
D: and then dinner at "Chowki"?
S: Okay..
D: and its Sat evening..should be "eye candies" all around !!
Wink

And as planned we are at Chowki. I ordered "Calcutta" non-veg and Sumo ordered a "Calcutta" veg..
Ok Ok you must be thinking ..wats all this fuss about? Are you getting paid for this.. Naaah!.. just liked the food today...hence got emotional ..Smile
The taste was authentic Indian..less oily and spicy..unlike many other places where the non-Indians get the impression that Indian dishes are synonymous to Oil and hot Spices and "Chiken Tikka Masala" the so called National Dish of England.
Unlike the popular belief the most essential ingredient in Indian food is not Spices but the passion that goes into making it,like the love of a mother who cooks for the whole family (Courtesy : the message on one of the table mat). Its the love and dedication that makes the food tasty and not the ingredient. No doubt plain dal-chawal cooked by mother is many times tastier than the Chicken biriyani cooked by a well qualified, award winning Chef...Cool
