ifood.tv Little Chef Lizzie Marie Is One Of CNN’s Next Generation Entrepreneurs
Whoever said “good things come in small packages” had obviously met ifood.tv’s little chef Lizzie Marie Likness. This 11-year-old is featured on the CNNMoney’s list of Next Generation Entrepreneurs for her entrepreneurial skills, which began at an unbelievable age of 6 years. However, a more eye-popping statistic would be that this young chef began to cook at the age of 2, encouraged by her mother who first allowed her to add spices and stir pots and pans during the family’s annual ritual of applesauce cooking.
Cooking For Horseback Riding Lessons
When she was 6, Lizzie wanted to go for horseback riding lessons. When the question for money came up, she offered to cook her way through the lessons. That was her ‘aha’ moment and from then on, she became the founder of Lizzie Marie Cuisine, a website that not only offers cooking tips, product reviews, and recipes, but also teachers young kids how to enjoy healthy cooking at home. She also posts videos of her cooking healthy foods to her website. Since then Lizzie Marie has gone from strength to strength, however, the most heartening aspect of her success story is that she is just beginning.

Lizzie’s recipes have also featured on ifood.tv, which stands proud of her achievements and congratulates her on this honor. In case you are interested, visit the Lizzie Marie Cuisine recipes on ifood.tv
Today, Likness is the star of the WebMD Fit Channel's series, ''Healthy Cooking with Lizzie.'' She also just signed a branded entertainment and TV development deal with N.Y.-based production company, DBG, and global digital marketing agency, Digitas.
Lizzie’s Success Story So Far
At present Lizzie is the star at the WebMD Fit Channel’s “Healthy Cooking with Lizzie” series besides writing regularly for her website. However, the best part of this little chef’s success story is her keenness to share her knowledge with others and she has been doing so through various projects, one of which was the “Tasty Tidbits” food education project, which also won her a grant in 2007 by DoSomething.org. More recently, Lizzie also appeared on USA Today’s Rachael Ray Show as well as The Kindness Challenge, a philanthropic contest of DoSomething.org. About LizzieMarieCuisine, Lizzie says, “Lizzie Marie Cuisine is unique because I teach kids how to have fun cooking healthy meals and how to live healthy... My company teaches people that it's not all about eating healthy, it's also about living healthy.”
Future Plans
With someone so young and already successful, there is bound to be curiosity attached to what she is going to do next. This is what her future plans are: Lizzie would like to write a cookbook, create her own line of food products or join another chef’s brand family. And yes, she also wants to host her own cooking show, on the lines of Television star and iconic food celebrity Rachael ray on whose show she appeared recently. However, first and foremost, she is focused to keep studying and complete her education. To the young entrepreneurs, Lizzie’s advice would be “Don’t be afraid to ask for help, start small, and if you encounter doubters, ‘that’s their own problem.’”
We say, that is a good advice to take and the way she is going, she is sure going to be the Gen Next’s Rachael Ray.
