Exercise should be one of the most important aspects of our day-to-day life. In fact, I believe each one of us sometime might have tried to follow an exercise routine. But most of us are not able to follow the routine. After a few days or weeks, most of us start skipping it due to various reasons. But with a few changes in your style and approach, you can become regular with your exercise.

Some of the suggestions to stick to your exercise routine:

  • If you enjoy exercise, you're more likely to do it. So join a class, activity, or sport which you enjoy. For example, you can join aerobics. Aerobics will not only burn your calories; it will also let you do a lot of fun exercises such as running, swimming, biking, rowing and walking. But beware if you have a chronic health condition, are overweight, a smoker, middle aged or older, or haven't exercised before. In that case, you should first consult your doctor.
  • Find an exercise buddy to go with you and make exercising more social. This will help you in sticking to your regular exercising routine and you will always be motivated with your partner.
  • It’s not compulsory to exercise in the morning. Figure out the time of day you enjoy exercising most, and plan accordingly. You should not take it as a boring routine, rather make it something you enjoy while watching television or listening to the music. This way, you won’t feel any stress due to exercise.
  • While exercising if you feel any discomfort or pain, slow down or take a break from your regular exercising routine. For example: Improper footwear and negligence of warm-ups can be some of the reasons for the pain or discomfort in legs. You can deal with these sprains with the help of ice, rest, gels. But, if these treatments don’t show any improvement, you should consult your doctor.

Very true! The most important thing to regularly exercise is to enjoy it and the exercises should not bore you. I do yoga and pranayama that is enjoy thoroughly. Another tip that works with me is to start any exercise with minimum time or counts and then inc.rease gradually
