How to Maintain a Healthy Figure by Eating
Many people especially women, wonder about their diets to maintain a healthy and appealing figure. They always try to gather more & more information from any source such as; internet, magazines, newspapers and television. Sometimes, it happens that these sources turn out to be a confusing element and leaves only a confusing trail.

- Eat Smart, Be Fit, and Live Longer: Many people in the world live as many as 100 years. This is not a miracle, but a result of disciplined and healthy diet and living style. You should include plant-based diet in your life. Vegeterian diets offer a balanced quantity of fats, a variety of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants; and quality sources of protein that are low in saturated fats.
In addition to these, you should exercise daily, keep a check of your weight, try to be cheerful.
- Boost Your Nutrient Power: An individual should always take 'nutrient dense' diets. It means foods inherently rich in vitamins, minerals, and propitious nutrients without extra calories. For eg; you can use skimmed milk instead of whole milk.
Alongwith the nutrient rich foods, you should also have more salads, fruits, and vegetables in your diet.
- Be Savvy about Salt: Excess of sodium intake can elevate blood pressure levels, raising the risk of heart disease and stroke. To maintain a balanced sodium level in your diet, you should avoid consuming more processed food. Instead of that, try to have more fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and meats which has minimal amounts of sodium.
- Beware of Portion Distortion: Portion distortion leads to over-eating. So, it is very important to control it. It can be achieved only by practicing.
By practising these simple, yet handy steps we can have a very contentful life. Alongwith the healthy food habits, we should also do regular exercise, meditation, and most important thing, have a positive thinking towards life.
