How to cook eggs? – An anytime quick recipe
Eggs are something that I always have in my refrigerator. Cannot do with these pure white ingredients that are an excellent source of protein. The other day I was going through the ifood site and watching the video on “How to hard boil an egg?” by Danispies. A few days later she came up with “deviled eggs”. That is how versatile this ingredient is.
Whether you would like to make yourself a healthy meal or have a few unannounced guests dropping in, the egg is the savior I resort to. There is so much possible with the egg. How to cook eggs? This is a question that can have 101 answers (or am I still limiting my imagination) and all of them would be a tasty treat. From the simple scrambled eggs for breakfast to deviled eggs, desserts to a filling omelet with fruits and veggies of your choice, toast and a glass of juice, what a way to start the day. Eggs can make just about any dish flavorful whether it is your fried rice or the soup. Check out the difference eggs can make to any dish.
A few tips with eggs that each one of us must know and follow:
- Buy fresh eggs. While buying eggs please do pay special attention the dates on the package.
-Eggs must be refrigerated as soon as bought.
- It is best to retain the eggs in the original package. Eggs kept for too long in your refrigerator in the open may absorb the odors as they have a porous shell.
-If the eggs show any signs of not being fresh (or are spoilt) please do not use them. Eggs can be a major source of food poisoning if not handled carefully.
- Do not use an egg with the shell already cracked – food poisoning threat again.
From the 101 or even more ways of cooking the egg I would narrow it down to a few techniques. From scrambling, poaching, hard-boiled, curried or just an omelet you could try just about any technique and have a meal that is fast to cook , good to eat and healthy too.
For kids especially, eggs are a great source of protein and a must have everyday. Make it any form that your child would like (in fact the trick to keeping your little one happy would be to keep experimenting with new recipes).
With Easter just a few hours away, eggs sure are the "in" thing. These white creations are a magic ingredient always just an arm’s reach away for me. Are you an egg lover? How often do you include eggs in your diet?
