How To Bake Your Own Vegan Chocolate Cake In 7 Minutes
Chocolate is undoubtedly a favorite cake choice for many. A yummy, moist and rich chocolate cake is one that can actually makes my day. Going by my cooking style, for me to get interested in a recipe it has to be quick and easy and also the end result has to be great. This chocolate cake which was passed on to me by my friend is one that I make often when I want to pamper myself. Unlike the usual heavy rich high calorie cakes that use a lot of butter and eggs, this is vegan and low calorie but does not compromise on taste either.
Let's Bake Vegan Chocolate Cake
Ingredients:
- Maida - 1 and 2/3 cups
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Cooking Oil- 1/2 cup
- Milk - 1/3 cup(cold milk)
- Curd - 1 cup
- Cocoa - 6 tbsp
- Soda bi-carb - 1 tsp (not heaped)
I prefer to use 3 tbsp of cocoa and 3 tbsp of drinking chocolate or else feel the cake turns out slightly bitter and does not agree with the sweet taste requirements of kids.
Steps to follow:
- Sieve maida and soda bi-carb together.
- Mix all the ingredients and make a smooth batter.
- Pour into a greased microwave proof utensil and cook for 7 minutes.
- Once done, let stand in the oven for 5 minutes.
- Take out and let cool for 2 minutes.
- Cut and serve.
It is a delicious dessert if served with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream, topped with chocolate sauce and chopped nuts of your choice. For a more elaborate chocolate finish, spread a rich layer of chocolate icing and you have a dessert that neither you nor your guests would be able to resist. Enjoy baking!
