We all know how important fiber is to our everyday diet. It is an important part of our daily diet and must be included to ensure good health. While deciding my menu for the day, I always pay special attention to ensure that My kids get a balanced diet. It should provide them with all the nutritional requirements for their growing years and also fiber.

Here’s how to get a high fiber diet without much effort:

-Whole grains are the key to having a high fiber diet. Whole grains like wheat, millet and barley would be best to include.

-Fruits and vegetables eaten raw are a wonderful source of fiber. Cooking can actually eat into the fiber content and so raw is the way. A diet rich in vegetables and fruits is a high fiber diet that would offer you several benefits in the long run.

-White flour is a no-no. White flour or all purpose flour is the main ingredient for most baked food like cakes, cookies and most goodies. Try substituting white flour with whole wheat flour and you would not only make a difference to the taste but also to the nutritional value of your baked goodies. Oats too are a wonderful addition to a baked recipe for its nutritional value and also the crispy delicious taste. -Add a good amount of lentils and beans of different varieties to your diet and see the difference that it will make.

A high fiber diet has multiple advantages and you are sure to see the big change in just a few days time.
