Consume ginger for Good Skin

Ginger is regularly used to spice up various dishes, especially in Asian cuisine. It will be a worthwhile practise to consciously make it a part of your regular diet. Use ginger to add that extra zing to your meals or may be even prepare healthful dishes and drinks keeping it as the main ingredient.

Building up this practise of regular consumption is sure to be rewarding to both your skin and health. Moreover, ginger’s anti-inflammatory properties make it especially useful for people suffering from acne, rashes and other similar skin conditions. This is mainly because of the presence of a compound known as gingerol which is also a natural painkiller.

 

Apply Ginger for Beautiful Skin

Ginger has anti-bacterial and antiseptic properties that help in treating and protecting acne and other skin infections.

Ginger Toner

To prepare this toner boil 1 teaspoon of dry ginger powder in two cups of water. Boil until liquid reduces to half the original quantity. Strain and set aside to cool.

Add a few drops of lavender and rosemary essential oils to the liquid and mix nicely. Transfer ginger toner to an airtight container and refrigerate.

Dip a cotton ball in it and apply all over face and neck. Use this toner in place of your regular toner. It will help in removing surface impurities while also hydrating and protecting skin.

Ginger Face Pack

To prepare this pack take a small bowl and mix together 1 tablespoon fresh cucumber juice, 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger juice, 1 tablespoon gram flour and a pinch of turmeric. Add enough yogurt or milk to form a smooth and thick paste.

Apply the pack evenly to your face and neck. Keep the pack for about 25-30 minutes and then wash off with warm water.

Use this pack at least thrice a week for best results.
