How To Separate Sugar From Food

Sugar in food is great concern and often we wish to separate sugar from food. From home process, indeed the job is intricate but not impossible. The reason why the task seems apparently impossible is the treatment of sugar in the foods because by default it is combined in a very close manner. However, although separating sugar from all foods might not be possible, in some cases it is manageable with some tricky processes provides the target foods are not baked or is not mixed with milk like liquid type of dissolving item.
Let’s take a look how to do the task of disintegrating sugar from foods; apparently, it may seem tough, but with some tricks, the task can be managed without much trouble taken on your side.
Step-1
Take a plastic container and fill it with 3-4 cups of water; water should not be too hot otherwise it may spoil the whole attempt. The quantity of water also should be moderate otherwise there will be problem in managing the entire task.
Step-2
You need to grind the food into powder form. In case you have targeted a powdered item you are one step ahead in your task. You are supposed to sprinkle 3-4 teaspoon of the powder on the water; as the normal reaction sugary part of the fob will go to the bottom of the water where the rest part of the food will float on the water surface.
Step-3
- You have to collect this floating food portion with a sleek spoon from the water surface and the collected foods are to be stored on a flat container which can be exposed to sunlight to get dried up.
- This is a lengthy process and it demand great care and high level of perseverance because the process has to be repeated on and on till the total quantity is not treated.
- Once the entire process will be over, the container will contain water and sugar in it because the rest portion of food has already been collected in a different container.
Step-4
In order to separate sugar and water in the container the container has to be placed on the burner under low flame. Slowly you will see the water has started evaporating and the sugars are left either at the side of the container or at the bottom.
As thumb rule of this sugar water separation process you should stand in front of the burner otherwise sugar may get burned, if you leave the water sugar concoction as it is without occasional stirring with a spoon.
Sometimes it becomes essential to separate sugar from food because of health reason or for making sugar free foods. For example, if you want to separate sugar from sugar flour the above mentioned process will work amazingly fine, but the process is time consuming so it is better to do it with little care.
The food separated from sugar and collected from water surface for obvious reason will remain slightly moist. You should out them under direct sunlight in order to get them dried.
