Planning a non-vegetarian diet, should also include lots of vegetables and fruits to make it completely balanced. When you decide about how to plan a non-vegetarian diet, you should keep this point in your mind. The non-vegetarian items normally include poultry, fish, seafood and meats such as beef, pork, veal or lamb. Most of the protein requirement of your body is going to be substituted by the non-vegetarian items. However, eating only non-vegetarian items can invite serious threats to your health. So, you must follow some guidelines to make your non-vegetarian diet plan successful and helpful for your health.

 A balanced diet

  • The most important suggestion about the non-vegetarian diet plan is that don’t forget to include also the fruits and vegetables in your diet. Along with the non-vegetarian foods consume plenty of vegetarian items which are available in the seasons, as these will neutralize the harmful effects of non-vegetarian foods.
  • Most of the red meats like beef, pork etc; are good source of iron and zinc. But at the same time, red meats are also high in cholesterol. So, it will be better to control the red meat intake for once or twice in a month.
  • However, you can safely depend on chicken and other poultry meats, as they also serve a good amount of iron and zinc to the human body.
  • Among all the alternatives of the non-vegetarian diet, fish can be the best option as most of the fish are low in cholesterol. On top of that, fish are easily digestible than the meats, so it does not create any extra pressure on the digestive system.
  • While buying non-vegetarian food items particularly meats, always select the parts having less animal fat. Particularly, the lean cut meats are much better and safe than the other choices.
  • To plan your non-vegetarian diet chart, you should not depend on a single type of non-vegetarian item. Instead, you should have a variation of non-vegetarian items on a daily basis. For 7 days a week, if you eat red meat for a single day, then select chicken or other poultry meats for 2 days and fish for rest of the days. This way you can achieve a balance for your non-vegetarian diet.
  • While buying non-vegetarian foods, you should also be cautious about not to buy processed or preserved items. Try to get the items as fresh as you can. The moment these items are preserved, they lose their maximum natural food value.
  • Most of the non-vegetarian foods take more time to get digested, other than the fish. When you consume one of these non-vegetarian items, make sure to supply some type of natural enzyme to your body to make the digestive process easier and faster. The natural enzymes are largely available in foods like papaya, pineapples, green salads etc.
  • If you can follow these basic rules for your non-vegetarian diet, you can safely remain non-vegetarian for longer days.
