I always wanted to do something special for my Dad, so as father’s day was approaching, I decided Fathers day picnic ideas - make the day specialplanning a father’s day picnic for him. If you have similar feelings for your Dad, you too need to know how to plan a father’s day picnic, so that you can bring in your whole family together on that special day and let your Dad, realize how special he is for all of you.


Here are some great tips which shall help you to organize a picnic for father’s day.


Location – Choose a location which your father will love. If he is fond of parks, then plan the picnic in any park. Beaches and playgrounds can also make great picnic spots.


Food and drinks– This is a picnic which is organized for your father, so try and include all foods which are your dad’s favorite. It is best, if you are able to plan portable foods for this special picnic. You can include simple food items like sandwiches, chops, fruits, salads, breads, cakes, cookies, barbecue dishes, egg recipes and juices for drinks. Carry plenty of appetizers and snacks for munching in between activities. These foods are easy to carry and will also taste wonderful. You can carry all your food items in baskets which will be easy to carry and easy to store also.

Sitting and eating arrangements need to be looked after first and foremost since elder members of your family will be accompanying you and they usually tend to feel tired very early. You can plan small humorous skits, joke sessions and even dance and song sessions by family members. You can plan out anything as long as everyone enjoys and has fun together.


Have food together – This is the most important part of the day. Bring all the family members together and sit together to have meals – share foods, dips and drinks. It will surely make your dad feel special and much appreciated…and do not forget to prepare any one special dish, which will be solely dedicated to your dad.
