How To Microwave Corn On The Cob
Step 1:  When you microwave corn on the cob, soaking them is a must! Take the large container fill it with water and soak the corn. Make sure to submerge the corn completely. Soak your corn on the cob for at least half an hour prior to microwaving.
Step 2: After soaking them for sometime, remove the corn from the water and pour out the excess water.
Step 3: Place the corn on a microwave plate and place into the microwave.
Step 4: The cooking time varies from microwave to microwave. 7-10 minutes are enough.  Just make sure you cook both the sides.
Step 5: After cooking it for 7-10 minutes remove it from the microwave carefully. I use oven mitts to remove corn from microwave as it will be very hot after being cooked.
Step 6: Let the corn cool before shucking in the sink under cool running water. The silk will come out easily.
Step 7:  Roll the stick-butter on the corn on the cob. Sprinkle salt and pepper and enjoy the buttery goodness!
Tips:

2. Let the corn to cool 15-20 minutes after being cooked (to avoid steam burn when shucking).
