Packaged drinks are all over the place. Some claiming to be soda free, others who say they are made from real fruits and a few more which are best if you are on a diet. The truth is, when you are on a diet or when you are looking at eating and drinking healthy, it is always best to make these things at home. Simple things lime preparing a sugar free drink at home will not take much effort or time and you can of course be sure of the fact that it has been made in the healthiest possible way.

 

Put Your Health First

Sugar is something you should avoid if you planing a diet or opting for a healthy eat, because sugar can slow down the water absorption level in the body. This is why its best to reduce sugar in your daily diet plan. Opt for sugar free drinks instead.

 

By mixing dairy product, fruits and water you can very easily create nutritious drinks, minus the sugar. All you need is a blender that will help you crush some ice or fruits and your sugar free drink, is ready in minutes. The added advantage is that a drink like this can satisfy your food  time cravings in between meals.

 

You will need a fruit and vegetable blender to make some of these drink. It is best to follow the instructions from the blender manual carefully. Children should not be allowed to make these drinks without adult supervision as it involves the use of electrical items, and this might be a safety issue.

 

Make At Home

To make a chocolate banana drink, pour milk into the blender along with some sliced bananas and coco powder and vanilla. Now blend these until the mixture becomes smooth. If you want the drink to be thicker, you can add in some yogurt. The same procedure can be followed for a different flavoured drink. Try coffee or almond extracts for a change.

 

One drink that you can sure make is the blueberry smoothy. Mix the berries, with some milk in a blender, and add a few strawberries and vanilla essence. You can also mix in other berries like the raspberries and blackberries to give some variety to the drink.

 

Iced roobios tea is another drink that you can make. Into a cup of boiling water, brew one or two sachets of tea. Remove the sachets after three minutes of brewing and use several ice cubes to cool the tea. Slice in a few lemons and serve your tea with lemon slices.
