Yes it is the holiday season and everyone is hosting parties. Simple things you do can make your party stand apart from the rest. Making special ice cubes is one such idea.

Whatever the occasion, this trick is sure to become a hit with the adults and the kids alike. From weddings to birthdays to graduation ceremonies and romantic dinners, try these and see the difference. You can even call these gourmet ice cubes. They are easy to make and are very elegant. It’s really simple and you won’t have to go out of the way to buy anything special.

Colour 'Em Up

Flavouring the ice cubes in one idea. This is tougher than just filling water, but all you have to do is mix some flavor into the water and fill up your ice trays. The same process can be repeated for coloured cubes, but this time you will have to put some food colouring into the water instead of flavor. Don’t you think these simple tricks will add a lot of colour to your party?

Frozen Fruits

Ice cubes with frozen fruits is another idea. Crystal clear cubes of ice with a bright coloured fresh fruit piece will definitely look attractive - and all this without too much of an effort. Boil the water before freezing it again as the ice cube, because water that is boiled is clearer than plain water. You can use fruits like strawberries, oranges, lemons and raspberries for the same. Cut them up into to smaller pieces, but if you are using blueberries and cherries, then use them as whole. Remember to deseed the fruits before using them. Fill the try with water and place these in the center of each cube, and freeze the same. These will soon become eye candy that you wouldn’t mind showing off.

This is also a task you can assign to your little ones, making them feel nice and useful.

Just put mine in the freezer! I used rasberries whole, they kept on bobbing to the top of the water so I just pressed them down with my finger! I hope mine work and I haven't used all the breakfast fruit!
