The delicious Onion dip

Caramelized Onion Dip

To prepare this dip, you will require thinly slicing the onions and then sauté them on a skillet using the mixture of olive oil and butter, over medium heat. When you notice that the onions are turning brown on the sides, low down the heat. Now add cayenne pepper, pepper and salt to the sauteed onions and cook for another 10 minutes until the whole thing turns brown. After the onions turn brown, add balsamic vinegar and honey mustard to the mixture. Cook for another couple of minutes, put the heat off and allow the mixture to cool down. Take another bowl to mix sour cream, cream cheese and mayonnaise and to this mixture add the onion preparation to blend well. Refrigerate the dip for few hours before you serve on the table.

French Onion Dip

Take a skillet to heat up olive oil and to that add minced onion to sauté for couple of minutes. Next add minced garlic to sauté and mix well with the onions. Wait until the mixture turns light brown and at this point, reduce the heat to low. Add the Worcestershire sauce to the skillet and then turn the heat off. Let the mixture come to room temperature and then add with the sour cream to blend in a separate bowl. You may add a pinch of salt to taste into the dip. Now cover the bowl and allow it to cool for 3-4 hours inside the refrigerator before serving.

Roasted Onion Dip

As a first step of this recipe, you have to roast the onions inside the oven. After cooling the onions, peel them and chop them finely. Other than this, you will also require chopping the cooked lean bacon and fresh parsley. Now take a medium sized bowl to mix the onions, parsley and bacons with sour cream. Add little amount of Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard to this mix. Finally, add salt and pepper to taste. Mix all these ingredients thoroughly to get a smooth onion dip. You may chill the dip to serve or can serve immediately.
