Teach your children how to make marshmallow dreidels for this year’s Hanukkah festivals. Kids will love making marshmallow dreidels themselves and in a way help you out preparing this fun food for Hanukkah festival.

Making marshmallow dreidels

  • Bring together all materials like marshmallow and something for the handle. Handle could be sleek pretzel sticks or licorice whips or toothpicks, but remember toothpicks are unsafe for very young children.
  • Bore a hole at the center of marshmallow and insert whichever stick you are using. Insert the stick till it peeps out through the other side of the marshmallow.
  • To make marshmallow dreidels more savory, either dip marshmallow in flowing chocolate sauce and dry it or buy marshmallows that are covered with a layer of toasted coconut.
  • Take any Hershey’s kiss or Hershey’s hug and make a hole accurately at its center.
  • Fix the kiss or hug on top side of dreidel where the stick has come out slightly. You can use peanut sauce to fix the stick along with the kiss on the top.
  • For imparting a festive look to marshmallow dreidels give a coating of frosting or just sprinkle, you can use chocolate or peanut butter for decorating.
  • Use food colors or frosting to decorate all flat sides of the dreidels.
  • Let them dry in room temperature before serving.
  • Using pretzel stick is recommended because it is edible.

Making marshmallow dreidels can be a fun activity for children and they will enjoy eating them even more because the dreidels are actually made by them.
