How To Make Easter Bunnies

These are few simple steps that will tell you how to make Easter bunnies at home in a hassle-free way. Read on.

Pick Up Bunny Mold

The first step to make an Easter bunny is to choose the style of the bunny. You can pick the ceramic or plastic candy forms as well as other candy making supplies from a nearby craft supply store.

Choose Chocolate Variety

Choose from the infinite varieties of chocolate the one you wish to use. You can pick the candy melts of your choice – milk chocolate, dark chocolate or white chocolate – from the craft supply store you picked the bunny mold.

Melt Chocolate

All you need to make Easter bunnies is a 4-cup liquid measuring cup, a microwave and a spoon. Pour candy melts into the liquid measuring cup and allow to microwave for 30 seconds, keeping the temperature at high. After 30 seconds, stir the softened melts and continue to microwave, stirring occasionally, to dissolve to a pourable consistency.

You can even melt the candy melts on a stovetop with a double broiler method. Boil few cups of water in a pot and then place a smaller pot with the candy melts above the boiled water and allow to dissolve to a pourable consistency.

Transfer To Bunny Molds

You can now transfer the liquid to the molds, shaking the molds slightly, to allow the liquid to settle evenly without bubbles.

Allow Chocolate To Set

Once done, cover with the top and keep in the freezer and allow the bunny to set. Take care to prevent the bunny from freezing. Check after an hour and a half. If the chocolate present in the thickest portion of the mold is solid, you can take the mold out from the freezer.

Wow! Your yummy Easter bunny is ready. Decorate the face, ears and moustache of the bunny using cake decorating tubes.

Now that you know how to make Easter bunnies, prepare it at home for a great Easter!
