This is how you can Juice Dried Herbs
Make a water infusion – Tea.
This is the most common method to juice dried herbs.
- In a tea pot, pour 1 cup of boiling water to 1 ½ teaspoon of dried herb.
- Allow the herb to steep for about 10 minutes
- Use a strainer and pour the herb infused tea into your cup.
- You could use this tea to add to your juices or chill it and use to make an iced tea.
Use this method for juicing root herbs.
- Add 1 teaspoon on the dried herb to ¼ cup of water and simmer for ten minutes.
- Strain, discard the herb and use the decoction to your fruit or vegetable juice.
Some Suggestions to make Dried Herb Drinks
- Have your herb tea hot with lemon and honey, it a good fat burner and enhances metabolism and digestion.
- Chill the herb tea by adding to a jug filled with ice. Sweeten with sugar or sweetener and add a slice of fresh fruit. Refresh your self with this herbed ice tea during summer.
- Make a juice cocktail. Mix your herb infusion with a vegetable or fruit juice to make interesting mocktails. They are healthy and tasty.
