How To Fry A Steak
If you know how to fry a steak you probably do not have to worry about cooking meals. You can
simply fry a steak and have it with rice or noodles. Frying steak is simple but its taste normally varies from one individual cooking to another.
Choice of steak: Your steak choice is quite important and is responsible for its taste. You should ideally choose a piece which is darkish in color and not pink.
Temperature: Do not start cooking the steak or preparing it if it is frozen. Let it come down to room temperature so that it can defrost very easily. This can take some hours – wait patiently during this time!
Marinating: If you wish your steak to have a great taste, you have to marinate it right. Rub the steak with black pepper and salt on its sides. Put in some olive oil – it will render a shiny glaze to the steak. Let this mixture sit for around 2 hours. You can also refrigerate it during this time.
Fry: Now, it is frying time. You need a heavy pan for this. Put this pan on heat till it starts to smoke. You can now put the steaks on high heat and let them cook one side at a time. It will slowly change colors from reddish to gray. When both sides are cooked well, you will notice that it is changing its color to brown.
When you are assured that the steak is well fried, remove the steaks from the pan. If any juice remains, you can pour the juice over the steaks. Let this sit for about fifteen minutes till all the juice is well absorbed into the steaks.
