However, when you want to add it to your favorite recipes, carefully unwrap and grate as much you want.

If in case, you have grated some extra cheese, put it in an airtight jar and refrigerate. Do not freeze the grated cheese as it may get crumbled while using for the next time.
The cheese may get molds when not frozen properly. With a sharp knife, cut the area where mold has developed and wrap the remaining cheese again and freeze. Also, wrapping the cheese in a plastic bag will lead to rapid mold formation.
