How To Freeze Mashed Sweet Potato
The all-time yummy favorites, mashed sweet potatoes can be stored by freezing. Yes folks! Try out the following methods of freezing sweet potatoes and enjoy them for a long time by increasing their shelf lives. Here we go!
Ways Of Freezing Mashed Sweet Potatoes:
Method 1:
Things Required:
- Mashed sweet potatoes
- Lemon juice-Half cup
- Measuring cup
- Ziploc freezer bags
- Permanent marker
Directions:
- Keep ready the mashed sweet potato which is been brought to room temperature.
- Mix the lemon juice with this mashed potato in order to prevent darkening (2 teaspoons of lemon juice for one quart of mashed sweet potato).
- Using measuring cup, fill the measured contents in the ziploc freezer bags leaving half inch headspace and label them with date and quantity.
- Ensure that there is no air left in the ziploc bags.
- Freeze them until they turn hard.

- Mashed sweet potatoes
- Ice-cube tray
- Ziploc freezer bags
- Permanent marker
Directions:
- Keep ready the mashed sweet potato which is been brought to room temperature.
- Fill it in the ice-cube trays and allow them to freeze for at least 2 hours.
- After the mashed sweet potato cubes are frozen, transfer the cubes to ziploc freezer bags.
- Label the bags with date and quantity of cubes in the bag.
