Well, your ordeal is over now as we bring you tried and tested methods to deal with embarrassing health problems. Following are some of the most common daily life problems related to your physical health and how to get rid of them:
1) Do you have Bad breath: Everyone of us has suffered from bad breath at one point or another in our life and we all know how embarrassing that can be, right? While there is temporary bad breath, resulting from occasional consumption of certain food items like coffee, onions or garlic, the more permanent form of bad breath (or halitosis) is due to diseased gums. ![]()
Help: In case your bad breath does not disappear even after preliminary measures like breakfast, cleaning teeth or rinsing your mouth with a mouth-freshener, begin your day with a glass of water with a lemon squeezed in it. Traditional remedies like chewing on parsley leaves or chewing gum might help you to disguise the bad breath.
2) Do you suffer from Excessive sweating: While it is summer season, everyone’s sweat glands go into overdrive, especially after a strenuous physical activity like climbing two-three flights of stairs or an hour in the gym. However, there are those among us who sweat even while doing nothing. This condition, called hyperhidrosis, afflicts specific areas of the body like underarms, hands, face, etc. While you can take respite in the fact that this condition can be genetic too but that doesn’t mean you don’t do anything about, right?
Help: Choose your deodorant carefully since a deo high in aluminium chloride can help better to reduce your sweating. Besides, wear breathable garments like cotton, linen; avoid pungent foods; try relaxation and breathing exercises.
3) Do you snore?: Ah! The worst nightmare for anybody is to be forced to sleep in the vicinity of someone who snores. Every family has at least one member who snores incessantly and is helpless about it. This shows how common the problem is. However, no need to fret because the solution is at hand as well.
Help: Try sleeping on your side, instead of your back or stomach; eat lighter meals towards the end of the day; lose weight if you are overweight; consult your doctor so that the situation doesn’t worsen.
4) Do you have smelly feet?: There are two main reasons why your feet smell excessively: one is that you wear closed shoes for longer hours and second is that your feet sweat profusely. Excessive perspiration and lack of air-movement in your shoes and socks generates the nasty smell.
Help: Use lukewarm water to wash your feet daily; put on some talcum powder before putting on your socks; avoid wearing the same pair of socks on consecutive days; regularly soak your feet in vinegar water.
Personal hygiene is your own responsibility and with the rush-hour modern life, it has become a chore in itself. Therefore, use the help given above and bring a sea-change in your daily life by getting rid of the embarrassing health problems.
