You must add ingredients to a  smoothie based on your calorific needs. Some of the smoothies may even contain more than 500 calories, butt if you aim at losing weight with breakfast smoothies, you certainly have to pay attention to what you consume. here are some tips that will help you to lose weight while you are on a smoothie diet.

 

 

  • When dieting with smoothies, you must pick up low calorie ingredients to make a smoothie. The ingredients that you use in smoothie preparation play a significant role in determining how healthy the final product is. If you are using a juice base for your smoothie, you must use half juice and half water. Else, it is always better to use milk, soy milk or water -which may serve as the good base to your smoothie. Choose some other ingredients to that adds to the nutritive value of the smooth apart from merely enhancing its flavor.

 

  • You should prefer making your own juice when you are on a diet with smoothies. When you make your own juice, you can ensure that you do not add extra sugar into it. You can also add some vegetables to make it more nutritious without adding any calories.

 

  • Boost the nutritional value of your smootie. Although a soothie is a fruity drink, but you may surely add vegetables to it. For instance, you can add a handful of spinach to a fruit smoothie without even altering its fruity taste.

 

  • Add protein to your smoothie to make you feel full. Protein is very essential for weight loss, but a traditional smoothie does not include any protein necessarily. So you can add a spoonful of protein powder to your diet smoothie.

 

  • Count the calories present in your smoothie. If you aim at losing weight by drinking a smoothie, you nmust ensure that it does not have high calorie. Your smoothie should not be more than 300 calories. If it is above 300 calories, you should reduce some of the ingredients so as to bring the calorie count down.
