Steps to Cook Apple on a Gas Grill

  1. Cook appleCore and seed apples. Peel skin if desired otherwise let the skin stay on.                                                                                          
  2. Cut apple as desired. They can be halved and grilled, or sliced into rings. Alternately, chop them into chunks and string on skewers. If using bamboo skewers make sure to soak them in water for a minimum of 30 minutes to prevent it from burning while on the grill.
  3. To keep apple moist and juicy, soak it in a solution of lemon juice and water.
  4. Brush apples with melted butter or flavored oil.
  5. Preheat grill to medium temperature and clean the grates well. Next, spray them with nonstick cooking spray.
  6. Place apple on the grill and cook for 7 to 8 minutes. Flip apples over and cook for another 8 minutes. Keep basting with butter.
  7. A mixture made of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, white sugar and brown sugar can be used for garnishing. These tastes would best complement apples.
  8. Once done remove the apples and sprinkle with the spice mix and serve.
