How To Clean Commercial Ovens
To clean commercial ovens sounds a tough job. However, if done properly it is not that difficult as thought. Cleaning commercial ovens is one of the routine jobs at the restaurants.
The things required to clean commercial ovens are a pair of rubber gloves, paper towels, water, liquid dish soap, brush, ammonia, and steel wool.
1. Now to clean commercial ovens, first of all make sure that the oven is not on. Also, try to clean commercial ovens once they are at the normal room temperature. It is advisable to clean commercial ovens only after an hour of their usage.
2. The first and the very important step to clean commercial ovens is to wear the rubber gloves. These gloves ensure safety while cleaning.
3. Now take out the grills and the racks of the oven and put them in a sink of hot water and soap solution. Allow them to be there for a while. The sticky particles will become soft and will leave the surface of grills.
4. Clean the commercial ovens rack with a paper towel. Do it gently and try to cover all the sides and corners. If there are some carbon deposits, make use of ammonia soaked paper towels.
5. Now coming back to the soaked grills in soap solution, the deposits in the grill can now be easily removed with the help of a cleaning brush. Get rid of all the debris and put it all in the trash can. Wash the grills again with a soap solution, and then finally rinse them with water.
6. To clean commercial ovens dip guards, the same grill cleaning process can be repeated.
7. Now spray the kitchen sanitizing spray on a paper towel and wipe commercial ovens’ rack, grill, door, handle with it. The knobs can also be wiped with the same paper towel.
8. Place the washed racks in the oven and switch on the commercial ovens at 200 degree for a duration of 10 minutes. This helps to get rid of ammonia like smell from these commercial ovens.
The repetition of this process after every few days will help you to maintain the commercial ovens and keep them clean.
