Peanut butter is the most popular breakfast option in many parts of the world. Here is how you can celebrate Peanut Butter Day.

The biggest market for peanut butter in the world is America. It has been recorded that Americans eat 700 million pounds of peanut butter each year. While the men prefered chunky peanut butter, women and children loved the creamy white ones. Of late, the peanut butter trend has filtered into other continents and one can find them just about everywhere. It is hailed as a great source of protein and therefore is good for health. It also keeps the body warm during the cold winter months.

Story Of Peanut Butter

Peanut butter was first made in the year 1890 by a doctor in St Louise, for his patients with weak teeth. The oil often separated from the grains, which did not yield good results. Later in 1933, a Californian packer succeeded in converting this into spread able butter. In fact, it takes about 550 peanuts to make 12 ounces of peanut butter. Peanut butter was included in the ration of World War soldier, and during the war, the sale of the same sky rocketed.
