How to bbq a turkey

Surprise everyone by barbecuing a turkey instead of oven roasting it at the next party you host! I am sure your family and friends are just going to love the bbq turkey.  Just follow these simple directions in order to achieve the perfect bbq turkey. bbq turkey
Step 1: Wash thoroughly the thawed turkey in cold water. Then pat it dry.
Step 2: Then loosen the breast skin by sliding your fingers under that area.
Step 3: Season the meat by massaging your favorite rub recipe. Then brush the turkey skin of the turkey with vegetable oil.
Step 4: Tie up the turkey with kitchen string.
Step 5: Prepare the grill by oiling the grill’s grate.
Step 6: Place an aluminum roasting pan under the turkey. This will catch the drippings. When you use a charcoal grill make sure to place the roasting pan next to the hot coals.
Step 7: Heat the grills to 350 degree F.
Step 8: Set the turkey on the grill and cook for about 45 minutes.
Step 9: Then flip the turkey over and cook the other side for 45 minutes.
Step 10: Regularly baste the turkey with your much loved barbecue sauce.
Step 11: Next, rotate the turkey's legs to the front and grill for another 25 minutes. At this step check the breast meat with a cooking thermometer and continue cooking till it reaches 165 degrees F.
