Friends always play a major role in our lives and they are most needed when we go through our bad times. If you are still wondering how can friends help with weight loss, then, let me tell you that we are often influenced by our friends and so, we tend to listen to them the most. Thus, a friend’s help in weight loss has to be counted as a significant contribution. A friend in need is a friend indeed. And in this case, you may be a friend in need of the support and encouragement of your friends, to help you overcome the difficulties of weight loss with ease. So, if you are a friend who wants to lose weight or you are a friend who wants to help his friend lose weight, here are my tips –

Again, if you are the one who needs to lose weight, request your friend not to gorge on fast foods and other fat loaded food items when with you. You do not want to give into temptation and fall prey to it again. 

Tip#2: If you want your friend to lose weight easily, then avoid activities which are involved with eating. That means you should avoid taking your friend to feasts, luncheons and dinners. However, if you can arrange for healthy eating feasts that include low-fat or no-fat foods, then that’s quite recommended. This will make your friend happy to see his friends eating healthy treats with him and in turn, encourage him to continue his weight loss diet. 

Tip#3: This is the good time for becoming more active. So, if your friend needs to cut down his/her excess kilos, you can accompany him/her to long walks, jogs or join him in workout sessions or to the gym. You may even go for treks and swimming together. Besides, if you are the one who needs to lose weight, you can invite your friend to play basketball or tennis with you and ask him to sweat it out with you in the jogs, every morning.

Tip#4: A friend’s encouragement and support always plays a great role in determining the other friend’s success in achieving something good. So, keep supporting your friend in his/her weight loss efforts and never pause to encourage him and keeping up the optimistic spirit to ensure that he will ultimately succeed in reaching his goal.
