Forget Swine Flu…this weekend at North Caroline the the Hog Happenin' cook off will start amidst roaring bikes! The North Carolina State Championship Barbecue Cook-off, Hog Happenin' is the only fest that brings together the hogs and the bikes.

This rocking Hog Happenin’ event will kick off this Friday at 6 pm with live bands. The cooking competitions will start later into the night (tlill 10 pm), though the judging will be on Saturday. On Saturday the bikes will be brought out and everyone can take part in competitions like Poker Run and Walk, Bike Shows, Bike Games and Swap Meet.

Though the event is free and open to the public, those interested in competing will have to pay entry fees to participate in various competitions. The fee for the the bike show is $10, Poker Run is $15, Professional Barbeque Cook-off is $200, Tailgate Challenge-Amateur Barbeque Cook-off is $25 and the Swap Meet is $25.

You can expect about 5000 to 7500 people at this event, so for all those who love barbecues and bikes this is the perfect event to head to for the weekend!!
