If you are into sports or any such field where you have got to do some strenuous physical activities, then high protein combined with high calorie food is a must for you. Apart from that wounds, trauma or problem of weightloss too might leave you searching for this article. To make your work easy, the good news here is that there are many natural sources which are equally good for both protein and calorie. So rather than going to two different sources, it is good to have one thing and get all you want.

 

To begin with, we again have both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options for high calorie and high protein food.

Vegetarian high calorie and high protein food options:

·Dry fruits /nuts:  Various nuts and dry fruits are a great and quick way to get you daily dose of calorie and protein. And you don’t even need to follow a time sheet for this, as it can be consumed anytime as a snack and your purpose is met.

·Milk and milk products: Milk is, in true sense, a complete food and is good enough to give you the required amount of calorie and proteins. However, skimmed or toned milk might not fulfill the calorie need. Margarine, butter, cream and cheese, ice- cream will do the needful for you.

Cereals: Cereals, which have high carbohydrate or protein value can be combined with milk to get the right calorie value.

·Vegetables: Potato alone can suffice your need, however, you have more options like most of the roots like sweet potato, carrot and much more.

·Fruits: be it canned and syruped or fresh, fruits are good source of calorie and protein. With a high cal value like 415 kcal, one banana is more than sufficient.

·Eggs: The best example of high protein and high calorie food. You might say that your search ends here. Eat it raw or poached or boiled for best results.

· Meat: Chicken, pork or beef – all are very rich in protein and calorie, however, they come with unsaturated fat content too, so avoid combining it with too much fat like oil, cheese or butter. Also prefer is pure and not as sausages.

·Fish: It comes with all what you want –high protein to give you that stamina and high calorie to keep you active.

·Combine these options with dairy products and a careful designing will help you get desired result.

High fat-content comes as a by-product with high-calorie food, therefore be careful as you choose.
