Healthy Breakfast Meals

Being the first meal of the day, it’s imperative that you only choose healthy breakfast meals day after day. You might be the one to grab a muffin or a bagel for breakfast. Despite your busy schedule, it’s not as difficult you think to have a healthy breakfast. All it needs is planning; perhaps the previous night so as to ensure your grab is a healthy bite instead of some flavored, baked flour.
Tips For Healthy Breakfast Meals
Add fruity goodness to your cereals
Agreed most of the time you eat cereals. But here is a tip to make it more nutritious. Add as much fruits as you can, sliced, in your cereal bowl before adding milk. You will have a wholesome breakfast meal. You can add banana, obviously, and other fruits such as apple, berries (strawberry, blueberries or even raisins).
Fruits are a good breakfast option
The nutrients and vitamins in fruits are best absorbed when your stomach is relatively empty. So morning time is the best time to give your body a dose of fruit. Your breakfast can be supplemented with fruits like papaya, orange, apple, melon and mango.
Eggs and…
Eggs are good, here is another idea. When you make eggs for breakfast, add vegetables like peppers, onions, mushroom or anything you deem tasty and nutritious. If you are making omelets, make it a Spanish omelet that has the goodness of tomato and onions.
Say no to sugary treats…
Agreed your breakfast needs to also have a little something sweet, but it’s in your best interest to avoid sugary desserts ranging from doughnuts, muffins, cupcakes or cinnamon roll. They only add more calories and no good. If you must, save it for a snack.
Try Tofu
Have you ever tried scrambled tofu in place of scrambled eggs? You should. They are definitely healthier than scrambled eggs. You can add other veggies when you scramble tofu and eat it with whole-grain toast. Don’t be surprised if you stick to this routine thrice a week. It’s that delicious.
