A new study has findings saying ”fruits & veggies make you sexier”, a good news for all those vegetarians and hey you non–vegetarians are you listening! The study shows that fruits and vegetables play an important role in achieving fair complexion.
So how do fruits & veggies make you sexier? The pigments present in fruits and vegetables contain powerful antioxidants, these antioxidants fight against antibodies and protect our body from succumbing to diseases. These oxidants are similar to the ones found in brightly colored fish and birds, the brighter the color the healthier they are. These colorful creatures use their skin color for attracting mates and according to researchers humans may also have a similar, if not the same biological mechanism.
The research is backed by a study done on 54 white people that included males and females. These participants were requested to change their skin color to look healthy; all of them choose a rosy or yellow tone with increased brightness. This proved that a healthy attractive skin is rosier and brighter and not tanned. This is against the myth that a tanned skin is attractive and sexy.
Human skin contains carotenoid pigments that impart a golden or yellow color to the skin. These pigments are derived from eating fruits and vegetables only. As the above study suggested that a yellowish bright skin is considered healthy and attractive, hence eating fruits and vegetables are highly recommended. Since the presence of this pigment determines the health of our skin and thereby how attractive we look, so researchers say eating fruits & veggies make you sexier.
So all those people who thought tanning skin can make you look sexy should now prefer eating fruits and vegetables. A person with light and yellow skin looks attractive and the only natural way of getting this skin tone is by eating fruits and vegetables.
