Fruit is in abundance for Canadians due to pest control products

British Columbia is the fruit production oasis of Canada. A tour through the expansive province reveals bountiful apple orchards, cherry trees, grape vines, cranberries, blueberries and raspberries, among other succulent fruits.

Indeed, fruit production here is worth more than $250 million each year. But it is not an easy job, say specialists in this field. It would appear that insects and disease are keen to feed on the fruit crops well before we do. .

Did you know that approximately 60 per cent of Canadian fruit harvests would be lost each year without crop protection products? Without these tools, farmer would find it much harder to control potential damage and to consistently produce B.C. fruit in such abundance.
