Baby Nutrition Guide

In 0 to 12 months time, the major nutrients for your baby are calcium, vitamins, and milk proteinRice cereal fortified with iron does a good job in building blood, and energy for babies.  In growing years, that is between 2 to 4 years, you are recommended to supplement your baby with cereals, grains, fruits, vegetables, and eggs in bulk.

Cereals and Grains:

Cereals and grain components provide with that extra energy, which the child loses during their activity schedule. They contain complex carbohydrates, fibers, zinc, and minerals.

For babies of 1 year, chose cereals with iron fortified, 6 or more servings of cooked rice, pasta, ½ bagel or muffin, and 1 serving of slice bread.

Vegetables:

Kids long for vegetables, which make them taller, and stronger. It is loaded with fibers, and essential iron nutrients. Start with mashed or steamed versions of 1 cup serving of green vegetables, and bring in some colorful varieties to kid’s vegetable platter.

3 servings per day is an average recommended dose for 2 year old babies.

Whole Fruit:

Whole fruits are dunked with fibers, and vitamins. Start with juice of citrus fruits, like sweet lime or oranges, and mature up to 2 -4 servings of fresh fruits daily.

Meat and Egg:

The aim of nutrition is to build up strong bones and muscles of your child. Make a knack of including pureed meat or mashed meat with rice component. Shoot up to 2 servings of egg or meat.

From my experience of 2 kids, I can say that one should introduce her baby to all types of nutrition at the early age. This makes the baby healthy by increasing the immunity power and also saves the baby from being a fussy-eater later in her life..
