Fresh fish at the Everglades Seafood Festival

The fabulous Everglades Seafood Festival takes place annually on the first weekend in February. This is an excellent event to attend if you enjoy fresh seafood, live music and appreciate art and craft. Each year the ever popular event attracts more than 50,000 visitors from around the United States who come to enjoy live country western music, fresh seafood and some renowned southern hospitality.

 

 

Live musical entertainment will be taking place in front of the historic, circa 1928 Everglades City Hall on the large stage. A more comprehensive live entertainment schedule will be released closer to the festival date.

Visitors to this year's event will be delighted to find a surplus of carnival rides, games, craft booths, food vendors, contests, picnic area and beer tent.

Directions

From I-75 (Alligator Alley), take Exit 80 south on SR-29. Drive about 18 miles to the intersection of US-41 (Tamiami Trail). Continue south on Route-29 about 4 miles.

 

Parking

There is limited free parking in the city.

Several charitable organizations offer parking for a small fee.

Handicapped parking is at the Community Church on the circle.

February 3rd - Family Night

            Opens at 5:00 p.m.

            Closes at 10:00 p.m.

 

February 4th - Fun Night Fun Begins

            Opens at 10:00 a.m.

            Official Ceremony at 11:00 a.m.

            Closes at 10:00 p.m.

            Beer Tent from 11:00 a.m. with souvenir mugs

 

February 5th – Sparkling Stars

            Opens at 11:00 a.m.

            Closes at 6:00 p.m.

 

Area Lodging

Those coming to the seafood festival from afar will find ample amount of lodging options. Within the city of Everglades there are more than seven lodging establishments. Lodging options range from the Ivey House Bed and Breakfast and Everglades Rod and Gun Club to the Captain's Table Lodge and Villas.

 

The Captain's Table Lodge and Villas rates range from $150 to $295 per night with  a minimum three night stay clause during the seafood festival.The Ivey House Bed and Breakfast rates vary from $109 to $247 per night and a minimum of two night stay is mandatory during the Everglades Seafood Festival.
