Eating Junk In Office Should Be Banned!

Eating junk in office all the time should be banned without delay! Eating junk in office all the time does not only show bad professional discipline but is bad for your health too. If you’ve been keeping yourself updated with the latest news, you might have heard about Dr. Mehmet Oz., the cardio specialist and wellness physician, the Oprah show regular, has banned snacking in his office for his new show The Dr. Oz. Show. I don’t blame him for doing that. It seems his office was totally infested with candy bars and snack packs. Banning junk food binging in office premises seems to be catching up in the country very fast.
You as an employee might protest this, but you’ll see that this is a healthier option for you. According to Dr. Oz., eating in tension while trying to achieve a deadline amounts to stress eating which is not at all healthy for your body. While sitting at your desk for prolonged hours you are leading a sedentary lifestyle. By eating junk during those hours, you are simply adding up body weight. Eating at meal times only is sign of good health. Meaningless brunching will lead to health complications. By the way you want a great body too don’t you? Then this ban is only going to help you in achieving that. Why fret as though your employers are being unfair to you?
Here are some suggestions that you can use to stop eating junk in office:
• Eat in full concentration- don’t eat when you are doing other work. By this you’ll only eat more which is bad for your health and annoying for those who observe you.
• Keep food miles away – Clear all those snack packs like Dr. Oz from your office draws. Your office canteen is the only place where food should be seen.
• Eat only when seated – yes, don’t eat while walking up and down the corridor with your files or while walking to your boss’ chamber.
• Eat only your passion – most of time we eat for passing time. We aren’t really crazy about that. Should you eat that candy bar because your colleague is doing so?
When the health care bill has been drafted with such a lot of concern for the Americans, surely we can do our bit to promote health and wellness in the country. Can’t we?
