Eat Salad and Stay Healthy

It is said that eating salads twice a day, at lunch and dinner, helps prevent many diseases like cancer. Many people in the world suffer from intestine and colon cancer; one of the leading causes for this is the lack of complex carbohydrates and roughage in their diet. With their busy lifestyles, people often skip meals and eat mostly refined and fast foods.

Salads should be a very important part of a person’s daily diet. Salads are high in fiber content, and are a rich source of daily vitamin and mineral requirement. We should accept salads as a routine part of our life.

Avoidance of ingredients while preparing salads:

•    We should avoid olive oil or coconut in the salads.

•    We also better not include meat or corn to the salads.

•    Avoid adding boiled potatoes or beetroots to the salad as they are high in calories.

•    Do not cook any of the vegetables to be added to the salad as all the fiber, vitamin, and mineral content are lost if cooked.

•    It is also very important to wash the vegetables thoroughly before using them for the salad preparation.

Eat as much salad as you can and stay healthy. Make your family, friends and your loved ones to eat salad and ward off cancer and other hazardous diseases!!

Hey Petal, it's good to know that you include salads in your lunch! However, there are many who doesn't want to eat salad. Earlier I was in this category. Would you like to share with us your favorite salad?
