Dukan Diet Menu
Dukan diet menu is a weight loss diet plan completely based on the Protal concept which derives its name from alternating pure proteins and protein alternatives, which means proteins plus vegetables. This is a 4 phase diet plan, based on simple rules without serious restrictions on food intake, excessive calorie and food measurement. It is important to drink plenty of water, stay away from junk, oily and spicy food and sugary snacks. At least 8 glasses of water is recommended per day while on this diet.
What Is Dukan Diet?
This weight loss dukan diet menu plan is of 4 phases which are mainly of a week duration.
- Attack – natural proteins for weight reduction and can be started in a week.
- Weight Loss – Alternative protein plans which help to reach your target weight in a short time.
- Stabilization – This is a stabilization process in which are other food types are reintroduced.
- Cruise- This is a smooth phase in which you need to adhere to a few rules so that you are able to maintain indefinitely.

The Dukan Diet menu Ideas
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks choices:
Phase One – Attack
- Meat – Ground beef with less than 10% of fat, steak cuts excluding T bone. Meat needs to be cooked well, so that its grease is reduced and protein is pure.
- Poultry – Smoked, boiled and grilled turkey. Chicken cooked in low fat oil and without the skin.
- Seafood – Grilled, steamed, smoked salmon, crabs, and shrimps.
- Eggs – Boiled or poached as breakfast.
- Dairy products – Cottage cheese, fat free milk and yogurt.
- Fat free health bars

Phase-2 – Weight Loss Phase
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks combinations:
Apart from the above foods:
- Vegetables – Cooked and raw vegetables as part of salads including asparagus, spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, celery, radish, fennel and leeks.
- Dressing without fats, sugar and oil.
Phase-3 Stabilization phase of the Dukan diet menu
Dukan diet menu in this stage is completely based on vegetables as described in phase 2. Foods which were excluded in the above 2 stages can also be introduced in this stage. Other foods include:
- Breakfast – whole wheat bread slices at least 2 with cheese. Fruits which include grapes, cherries, strawberries and nuts.
- Lunch – Starch foods which include potatoes, lentils, rice, and pasta.
- Dinner – Sandwiches, lean meat and vegetables.

Phase-4 (Cruise)
- Oat bran is the main food as a part of the menu and needs to be followed for a whole week.
Dukan diet menu is one of the few menus, which relies completely on natural proteins in foods such as meat, seafood and poultry.
