Dublin Food Festival
'Taste of Dublin' is one of the most prestigious events that deserves to be termed as the Dublin food festival. Held in June, 2010, the festival turned out to be hugely popular with everyone making a beeline for the celebrity chefs’ area while trying to nurse one of the superior quality wines of the area.
The conventional events were all held amidst cheering but it was the new features included in the show that received the biggest applause. The introduction of an amateur chef event was hailed by the participants and onlookers alike and the title conferred on the winner had him break into a wide grin.
Restaurant Section
The visiting restaurant section was also well appreciated as the Dubliners made a note of their specialties determined to check them out at their convenience. Talking to the chefs who shared their ups and downs with the visitors was like a dream come true for many. The accompanying O'Briens Wines helped to loosen tongues and soon the Dubliners were having a field day jotting down valuable tips as the chefs answered practically everything under the sun.
The Malaysian experience was well worth the time for most of the viewers who listened enthralled as the organizers helped them understand the philosophy behind Malaysia’s cuisine. The delectable herbs and spices, each of them exotic in their own way helped the people of Dublin to truly get a taste of the mysterious East.
The family run restaurant Brambles proved to be a favorite once again as they replied to all the queries with a cheery disposition. The excellent food that they had on offer had already been well promoted by word of mouth and the visitors thronged the stall hoping to taste their best once again.
Taste Bars
Wine and champagne flowed freely at “Taste of Dublin” on the hot summer’s day and viewers soon helped themselves to the excellent ciders and beers while Veuve Clicquot welcomed every guest with a well-chilled glass of yellow label champagne.
The Dubliners are already looking forward to the next edition and hope that the “Taste of Dublin “ will prove to be as sweet and intoxicating next year and for all the years ahead.
