The Diet Trends 2010 show that health conscious people focused on eating foods with greater value in terms of health and money. People want to watch their weight or improve their health without leaving a big hole in their pocket.                                         

The trend shows that people in 2010 wanted to improve their physical healthy along with their financial health and have begun realizing that the to get fit and healthy one does not necessarily require to spend large bucks.

 These are some of the Diet and food trends of 2010

  • Restrict those Calories – Calorie intake is what matters. This is what most dieters and weight watchers believe and a large number of consumers continue to consume low-calorie, reduced calories or fat and sugar free products so that they can enjoy their favorite food and beverages and not feel guilty of consuming them.

  • Go Natural - . With so many new natural diet and health products like stevia, organic and natural herbal products on the market. Go Natural is the new mantra for those fitness and diet conscious people. Say “Bye” to pills, surgery and medications.

  • Prevention is better than cure - Buying and consuming "functional" foods with added nutrients and health benefits at a normal price. The trend says people believing more in preventive health and wellness.

  • Home Fitness- Working out at home and saving on gym membership fees is the new trend. Dvds of yoga, dance routines, Pilates and other options like Wii are becoming very popular among those who don’t have the time or inclination to go to the gym.

  • Be Vegan- More and more people are turning towards being vegan due to the detoxifying properties of a vegan diet.
