Denver International Wine Festival is a premier wine and food festival in Denver, Colorado. It is held annually in the month of November. This year is no exception; the 6th annual Denver International Wine Festival is all set to rock the wine, food and travel industry from November 3-5, 2010. This international event is organized by Wine Country Network, which publishes the well known magazine "Wine Country International". This year DIWF coincided with “Denver Wine Week” is going to be a treat for visitors.
Denver International Wine festival was born in the year 2005 by Wine Country Network, Inc after a year long research on market and inputs from industry. With the celebration of 1st DIWF, this premier Wine festival went on to be the most esteemed wine festivals of US. The inaugural year of Denver Wine Festival was a big success that witnessed 350 varieties of premium wine from over 17 countries. It was an extravaganza of wine, gourmet food and seminars. This was when the Mayor of Denver declared this particular week as “Denver Wine Week” and since then every year Denver celebrates wine in this week. DWW revolves around wine, food and travel with consumers and traders coming together under one roof celebrating a chain of events.
The showcasing events of DIWF are -
“The Taste of Elegance”- Scheduled for November 4, 2010
A competition of Chef’s food and wine followed by an auction. Gold winner wines of Denver International Wine Competition 2010 will be paired with innovative cuisines at the competition. Competing master chefs will create dishes suitable for eating with wines.
“Grand Tasting of International Wines and Food”- Scheduled for November 5, 2010
Over 100 wineries from all over the world will be participating in this event of showcasing more than 450 imported and indigenous wines. Premium wines from all regions are selected based on their variety and quality for competing in this event. Foods will also be a part of this event, produced by well known gourmet producers. Grand Tasting event will also showcase spirits, crafted beers, fine arts, luxury travel exhibitors and wine supplies. The day long event will also offer educational seminars for everyone.
Additionally there are organized Day Tours to top wineries in Colorado. This is limited to 50 guests only at special rates.
