Cool Tools: Weber's Grill 'N Spray

Grill Set UpThe first rule of grilling is to oil your grates before cooking so your food doesn't stick to them. It's best to do that when the grill is hot just before you put your food on the grates. That "when the grill is hot" has been known to cause some problems - and some singed hairs - if you use the oil-soaked towel system.

Weber has the answer with it's Grill 'N Spray. This is the only non-stick spray that’s safe to use on a hot grill or open flame. It’s non-flammable, so you can coat those grates even when flames are roaring. (There are some other grill sprays on the market, but those are not for use with a hot grill or open flame.)

I've been trying it out this grilling season and it works as promised; and it sure does make life easier when you're grilling for a crowd and have to re-coat the grates between rounds of steak or chicken. Weber's Grill 'N Spray runs about $3.00 a can.

I didn't count how many meals a can got me through, but if you grill often pick-up a couple of cans, I did go through it fairly fast.
